Job Description

Manager, Operations is responsible for developing and maintaining the functions of Operations Control Centre (flight monitoring), flight dispatch, crew scheduling and control.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and maintaining the functions of Operations Control Centre (OCC), such as flight monitoring, flight dispatch, etc.
  
• Ensure that crew rostering and crew control functions and responsibilities are maintained to a satisfactory level to ensure compliance with the Flight Time Limitation Scheme (FTLS)
• Maintain regulatory compliance with FOP.  Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with internal policies and manuals within operations control functions
• Oversee the manpower planning, training and development of staff in the aforementioned operational functions to ensure their technical and operational competence in executing their duties
• Perform assigned duties, in accordance with the Company Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in the event of an incident
• Source negotiate, and maintain contracts with hardware and software vendors and other service providers as required by FOP
• Maintain budgetary control and advise the General Manager, Flight Operations on cost control measures within the department

Requirements

• Hong Kong permanent resident status
• Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably in aviation management or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in flight operations, at least 3 years with proven management experience in a flight operations department
• Excellent knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the CAD and other NAAs in the region
• Knowledge of flight planning systems and flight tracking systems
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, proficiency in Cantonese and Putonghua is desirable
• Able to work independently and under pressure for tight schedule
• A team player, with excellent decision making and communication skills
