You are expected to lead the Navigation Services Unit in processing, validating, and managing aeronautical and navigational data. This role ensures the safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of flight operations while providing critical oversight for charting services and strategic routing information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all navigational data across flight planning systems, aircraft, flight simulators, Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs), and operational offices remains accurate, current, and fully compliant with state regulatory frameworks and international standards
- Oversee and streamline the preparation, production, and timely dissemination of critical aeronautical information and operational references
- Analyze flight crew feedback to proactively identify and resolve data anomalies, enhancing overall navigational integrity and operational efficiency
- Conduct comprehensive fuel consumption and payload optimization analyses to support flight operations budgetary goals and cost-control initiatives
- Regularly review operational requirements and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop procedures that support seamless network expansion
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Navigation Services team to ensure optimal workload distribution, high performance, and operational excellence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external data vendors, ensuring data reception SLA adherence and resolving integrity issues promptly
- Facilitate and assist in the application and maintenance processes for Foreign Air Operator Certificates (AOCs)
- Execute specialized projects and assume additional responsibilities as directed by management; provide critical operational or emergency support as required
Requirements:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline is highly desirable
- Minimum 5 years within airline flight operations, with a proven track record in flight planning or navigation services
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard airline flight planning systems
- Prior involvement in the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) process is considered a significant advantage
- Proficiency in data management and analytical tools, including advanced literacy in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Strong understanding of international aviation regulations and charting standards (e.g., Jeppesen/Lido)
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a proven ability to manage and inspire a technical team
- Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a distinct advantage
- Resilient, self-motivated, and capable of delivering high-quality results under pressure in a dynamic environment
