Job Description

The job holder will provide daily operational material support to the Company and maintain effective working relationship with the suppliers/service provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage spares requirement for line and base maintenance events including demands for Aircraft Deferred Defects (ADDs), line & base maintenance work packages, scheduled maintenance, Aircraft On Ground (AOG) and aircraft modification by sending spare request or Request for Quotation (RFQ) to suppliers or service provider
  • Monitor the logistics and delivery of requested materials from the service providers or suppliers to ensure timely receipt into stock and the delivery of spares from warehouse to production
  • Measure and manage the performance of the service providers on spares delivery commitment and produce the service level achievement report to Manager Material Management (MMM) for review monthly
  • Manage stock availability and take replenishment action as required
  • Manage the disposition of unserviceable spares removed from aircraft
  • Assist Procurement Section to carry out performance analysis on vendor/supplier/service provider
  • Assist Procurement Section in defining Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, evaluating proposals, and contracting with inventory suppliers
  • Define Request for Quotation (RFQ) requirement for bulky and ad hoc shipment, such as modification kits, landing gears, engines, etc. to Procurement Section and involve in the freight forwarder selection process
  • Vetting and validation of invoices and resolving invoice discrepancies with suppliers/service providers
  • Work with Finance for payment arrangement and other invoice management
  • Perform duty standby or shift after office hours for managing critical / urgent / AOG related to material requirement as required


  • Hong Kong permanent resident status
  • Degree holder in Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience with airline working experience in engineering or MRO an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
