MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER

Job Description

You are expected to be responsible for the primary operation in the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) for performing and coordinating activities and priorities, and overall control of decisions making during the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the duty-in-charge of MCC in day-to-day operations to supervise and ensure the efficiency of maintenance operations to provide high quality technical support in HKG and overseas line station
  • Working with Operation Control Centre (OCC) in providing current and continuous reports of general technical status of all the fleet
  • Coordinate with related parties for unscheduled defect trouble-shooting / clearance and manage delays / AOG in effort to minimize costs and disruptions
  • Monitor and control all information dissemination from MCC
  • Initiate and organise AOG support including manpower, tools, and spare parts arrangement
  • Guide and advise personnel during troubleshooting and while performing maintenance issue in critical defect / AOG / delay handling
  • Monitor all aircrafts undergoing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line maintenance and provide up-to-date aircraft status
  • Aware for any incident that results in emergency procedures including aircraft recovery and provides notification to all concerned parties according to ERP
  • Monitor ADD status for time compliance control
  • Provide daily maintenance report
  • Maintain an effective MCC shift handover log
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ related working experience in maintenance control and / or aircraft maintenance experience
  • Holder of valid aircraft maintenance basic license(s) eg. HKAR, FAA, EASA, CCAR, etc. or equivalent and type rated to the airline’s operating fleet would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of HKAR governing aircraft certification and maintenance
  • Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Proven work experience in aircraft defect troubleshooting with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to rapidly assess information, consider options and arrive at the optimum operational decision
  • Good command of both oral and written English and Chinese
  • Proficient in Maintenance & Engineering software applications
  • Required to work shift duty and duty travel may be required
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
