The Summer Intern Programme 2026 offers internship opportunities across different functional areas. Interns will be assigned to one designated department based on their stated preferences and assessed suitability.
Internship Positions Available In:
1. Engineering
Interns will gain exposure to airline maintenance and engineering operations, including systems, procedures, and industry practices. The role provides insights into engineering documentation, safety regulations, compliance requirements, quality assurance processes, and material management.
- Support engineering documentation and record management
- Assist with data analysis and project-related tasks
- Provide support for regulatory compliance activities
- Assist with workshop and line maintenance operations, where applicable
- Collaborate across functions, including Maintenance Control, Line Maintenance, Engineering Services, Material Management, and Quality Assurance
2. Ground Services – Contracts & Project Section
Interns will participate in projects aimed at enhancing service offerings and passenger experience, with a focus on commercial performance and service excellence. Project Focus Areas:
- Optimising ancillary revenue opportunities
- Exploring initiatives to create memorable and meaningful experiences for passengers
3. Ground Services – Quality Assurance (QA) Section
Interns will support quality and efficiency initiatives by improving reporting processes and enhancing frontline operational workflows.
- Assist in streamlining and automating report submission processes
- Support workflow improvement initiatives to reduce administrative burden on frontline staff
- Enable frontline teams to focus more effectively on passenger service delivery
4. Inflight Services – Ancillary Revenue Projects
Interns will support initiatives aimed at driving ancillary revenue through service and product innovation.
- In-flight catering cycle transition
- Reintroduction of Duty Free sales
5. Inflight Services – Cabin Crew Engagement Projects
Interns will support initiatives focused on improving cabin crew engagement and organisational feedback.
- Assist in conducting cabin crew engagement surveys
- Support data analysis and interpretation of survey results
6. Operations Control Centre
Interns will support operational performance through systems development and data analytics.
- Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business software and applications for OCC teams
- Collect, analyse, and visualise post-operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
7. Corporate Quality, Safety and Security
Interns will be exposed to various airline safety initiatives and quality assurance activities.
- Support the enhancement and maintenance of safety dashboards
- Assist with data analysis related to safety performance
- Explore the application of AI tools to support safety data analysis
8. Airline Planning
Interns will contribute to enhancing the airline’s online customer experience across digital platforms.
- Support planning and network research activities
- Assist with regulatory-related coordination and documentation
9. Customer Service Centre
Interns will contribute to enhancing the airline’s online customer experience across digital platforms.
- Collect and analyse customer feedback on website and mobile app experience
- Identify root causes of recurring system or service issues
- Liaise with system vendors and internal stakeholders to support issue resolution
- Prepare reports and recommendations for further system enhancement
10. Corporate and Brand Marketing
Interns will gain exposure to the daily operations of the Corporate Brand and Marketing (CBM) function and develop a general understanding of the airline’s branding and communications activities.
- Assist with event coordination and marketing initiatives
- Support media monitoring activities
- Assist in the preparation of press and marketing materials
- Provide general administrative support
11. Human Resources and Administration
Interns will gain foundational exposure to the core HR functions of an aviation company while supporting departmental operations and projects.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR operations, and compliance activities
- Assist in maintaining employee records, preparing HR documentation, and managing HR data
- Enhance written and verbal communication skills through HR correspondence and employee interactions
- Gain exposure to onboarding processes, probation reviews, training activities, engagement initiatives, and exit processes
Requirements:
- Graduate or undergraduate in relevant discipline
- Relevant experience is preferred but not essential
- Good command of both oral and written English and Chinese
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and other PC skills is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong sense of responsibility, with good planning and organizational skills
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
