Greater Bay Airlines Check-in Counters at HKIA Relocating to Terminal 2 from 3 June 2026

Starting from 3 June 2026, all check-in and baggage drop services for Greater Bay Airlines will be relocated to Terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport. Passengers should proceed to the Q aisle counters in T2 for check-in and baggage drop. Alternatively, they may use the self-service Smartphone bag drop facilities located in the S aisle. After completing check-in, security screening, and immigration clearance, passengers should take the Automated People Mover (driverless train) to the boarding gates.

Check-in Counter

  • Located at Q Aisle on Level 7
  • Service hours start: 3 hours before departure
  • Service hours end: 1 hour before departure
  • Boarding gate closes: 15 minutes before departure
Smartphone Express Bag Drop
  • Smartphone Bag Drop: Level 7, Aisle S
  • Operating hours: 24 hours to 1 hour 10 minutes before scheduled time of departure

**Service not applicable to:

  • Passengers travelling to destinations such as Taipei, Manila, Pakse, and Palau
  • Passengers holding group tickets
  • Passengers holding standby tickets
  • Passengers with special requests, or requiring special assistance such as wheelchair service or medical assistance
  • Passengers travelling with infants or with child passengers under the same PNR
  • Holders of HKSAR passports issued on or before 2019
  • Passengers travelling to destinations that require a visa

Terminal 2 offers a wide range of facilities, including Smartphone Bag Drop services, as well as food and beverage and retail outlets. Passengers can also purchase duty-free products onboard, making their journey more convenient and enjoyable.

Not affected. All Greater Bay Airlines arriving flights will continue to use Terminal 1. Passenger procedures, including immigration clearance, customs, baggage claim, and arrivals hall pick-up, remain unchanged. Please proceed to Terminal 1 as usual to complete the arrival process.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2.5 to 3 hours before departure. The entire process includes check-in and baggage drop at Terminal 2, followed by security screening, immigration clearance, and taking the Automated People Mover to the boarding gates at Terminal 1. Please allow sufficient time for walking, queuing, and travel, and plan ahead to avoid any delays to your journey.
