Greater Bay Airlines introduces Hohhot scheduled service in February

(28 January 2026) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) will launch a scheduled service to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, starting 6 February 2026, further strengthening its network coverage in the Chinese Mainland. The new route will operate four roundtrip flights per week between Hong Kong and Hohhot Baita International Airport.

Located in the central‑southern part of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot is the capital city of the autonomous region. Just 20 kilometres northeast of the city lies the Chilechuan Grassland, which blends grassland culture with modern urban vibes, making Hohhot well known as a “Grassland City”. With a history of more than 2,300 years, Hohhot was designated by the State Council as a National Historic and Cultural City. It has also been recognised by the National Tourism Administration as one of China’s Top Tourist Cities, boasting numerous attractions such as Dazhao Temple, Xilituzhao Temple, Five Pagoda Temple, Saishang Old Street, Hasuhai Lake, Dayao Cultural Ruins, Zhaojun Tomb and the Suiyuan City Wall.
