Greater Bay Airlines launches seasonal flights to the Maldives during Lunar New Year holiday

(31 October 2025) Lunar New Year is traditionally a peak travel season, and to meet travellers’ demand, Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) will launch a seasonal service to the Maldives from 8 to 25 February 2026. The airline will operate one daily flight between Hong Kong and Velana International Airport in Male, Maldives.

The Maldives, an island country in the north-central Indian Ocean, is a preferred destination for beach holidays. Many people from Hong Kong choose to escape the winter chill by vacationing in the Maldives during the Lunar New Year, indulging in a variety of water activities and enjoying a warm and festive experience.
