Greater Bay Airlines receives 18 airport safety awards from AAHK
Greater Bay Airlines was honoured today with a total of 18 safety accolades at the 2025/26 Airport Safety Recognition Scheme award presentation ceremony hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong. These include the “Airport Safety Advancement” title and numerous individual awards across different categories. GBA’s Chief Operating Officer Mr Gus Larard (eighth left, front) and General Manager, Corporate Quality, Safety and Security Mr Alex Linhares (sixth right, front) attended the ceremony with the winning team.
(2 June 2026) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) was honoured today with a total of 18 safety accolades at the 2025/26 Airport Safety Recognition Scheme award presentation ceremony hosted by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK). These include the “Airport Safety Advancement” title and numerous individual awards across different categories. The scheme aims to recognise airport community members for their outstanding achievements in fostering a good safety culture, enhancing safety awareness and continuously improving safety performance.
In addition to the “Airport Safety Advancement” title, GBA also garnered 17 awards from all the four individual categories – “Role Model Safety Behaviour” (six awards), “Best Safety Supervisor” (five awards), “Accident Prevention Measures” (three awards) and “Good Safety Suggestion” (three awards), underscoring the airline’s strong commitment to safety in all respective areas.
Mr Gus Larard, Chief Operating Officer of GBA, attended the ceremony with the winning team. He said, “Safety is the top priority of GBA and should never be compromised under all circumstances. This recognition not only reflects our profound safety culture within the company, but also affirms the professionalism of our team in proactively identifying potential risks and maintaining rigorous standards in every part of our daily operations. We will continue to uphold this commitment and ensure a safe and comfortable journey for our passengers.”
