Greater Bay Airlines to introduce Premium Class in December offering a suite of prestigious services and privileges

(2 October 2025) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) today announced the introduction of its new Premium Class with a suite of prestigious services and privileges this December to enhance the travel experience of its passengers. The new offerings will include spacious cradle-style seats, complimentary exquisite meals and beverages, priority baggage, check-in and boarding privileges, and more - all aimed at delivering a superior journey for every Premium Class passenger.

The new class will be available on GBA’s next-generation Boeing 737-9 aircraft, making it the first airline in Asia to offer Premium Class on this aircraft model. The Premium Class will debut on flights between Hong Kong and Sapporo, Japan starting 17 December 2025. Customers can now select Premium Class seats when booking their tickets.

GBA’s Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mr Hou Wei said, “We are delighted to introduce the Premium Class, a thoughtfully curated proposition that reflects GBA’s ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience. We will be receiving two of the Boeing 737-9 aircraft ordered earlier by the end of this year, with the rest scheduled for the next few years. As our fleet continues to expand, we plan to roll out the Premium Class across more routes.”

Passengers of the Premium Class can enjoy the following prestigious services and privileges:

• Spacious cradle-style seats: More than 20 inches wide, with a generous recline and 40 inches to the seats in the front, the seats provide extra comfort and a spacious environment
• Complimentary exquisite meals and beverages: Passengers will enjoy a sumptuous dining service, including a main dish (selectable by passengers at the time of booking), a free flow of red and white wines as well as non-alcoholic beverages, and premium ice cream
• Individual power and USB outlets: Each seat is equipped with its own power supply and USB outlets to keep passengers’ personal electronic devices fully powered throughout the journey
• Priority baggage, check-in and boarding: Passengers can benefit from priority baggage, check-in and boarding for a smoother and hassle-free travel experience
• Enhanced baggage allowance: In addition to 7kg carry-on baggage allowance, each passenger is entitled to 40kg check-in baggage allowance (a total of two pieces; 20kg each), bringing more flexibility to meet travelling and shopping needs
