Greater Bay Airlines commences scheduled service to Hohhot

(7 February 2026) Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) commenced its scheduled service to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, yesterday (6 February), further strengthening its network coverage in the Chinese Mainland. The new route will operate four roundtrip flights per week (every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between Hong Kong and Hohhot.

Mr Ricky Chong, General Manager, Route Development (Acting) of Airport Authority Hong Kong, accompanied by GBA’s Chief Services Officer Mr Stanley Kan and other management representatives, showed support to the launch of the route by greeting passengers and aircrew of the inaugural flight at the boarding gate yesterday afternoon. A ceremony was then held at the apron of Hohhot Baita International Airport upon arrival of the flight around 5:00pm.

Located in the central‑southern part of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot is the capital city of the autonomous region. Blending grassland culture with modern urban vibes, Hohhot is well known as a “Grassland City”. Designated by the State Council as a National Historic and Cultural City, Hohhot has also been recognised by the National Tourism Administration as one of China’s Top Tourist Cities.
