In his welcome remarks, GBA Chairman Mr Wong Cho Bau said, “GBA commenced service more than three years ago and our network continues to grow as we actively explore new destinations to meet market demand. At present, our scheduled and seasonal services cover more than 20 destinations across Asia and the Chinese Mainland. With this new aircraft model, we are also introducing the Premium Class to enhance passengers’ travel experience with a suite of prestigious and thoughtful services.”
“GBA is committed to offering a safe, reliable, and value-for-money service to those travelling to and from Hong Kong or transiting through the city. Leveraging Hong Kong’s distinctive advantages of ‘enjoying strong support of the Motherland and being closely connected to the world’, the airline persistently supports the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and further strengthens Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub,” Mr Wong added.
The Boeing 737-9 aircraft has undergone a comprehensive recertification process - including updates to its design, software and pilot training - and is independently certified by global aviation regulators.
The new design of the Boeing 737-9 aircraft features 20% larger windows for brighter views, energy-efficient LED mood lighting for a relaxing atmosphere, and spacious pivoting overhead compartments that make room for more carry-on baggage.
This new aircraft model helps GBA advance its sustainability goals. GBA is the first airline in Asia to introduce Premium Class on this aircraft model. A suite of prestigious services and privileges will be offered to provide a superior travel experience. These include spacious cradle-style seats, complimentary exquisite meals and beverages, individual power and USB outlets (USB outlets also available at all seats on the aircraft), priority baggage, check-in and boarding privileges, and enhanced baggage allowance.
